HeatherLane Farms Mountain Made Goat Milk Fudge

HeatherLane Farms is a small family owned farm nestled in the Town of Woodfin North Carolina. Ken, Yvonne, Lane and Cori raise ADGA registered Nubian, Oberhasli and Nigerian Dwarfs, as well as MDGA registered Mini Nubian and Mini Oberhasli dairy goats.
HeatherLane Farms became a North Carolina State Certified Grade B dairy in 2008, producing fluid goat milk for area cheesemakers.

In 2009, HeatherLane Farms with the help and support of the Town of Woodfin and Looking Glass Creamery, began to produce Goat Milk Fudge. A wonderfully creamy confection that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Our candy making process starts with the high butterfat content of our goats milk. Jennifer Perkins of Looking Glass Creamery pasteurizes the milk according to North Carolina guidelines in order to ensure a safe, whole milk. Yvonne then turns sweet goat milk into a creamy fudge the old fashion way, on the stove top, with close attention to time and temperature. Fudge making days often finds friends, Lisa Dickson and Leigh Killeen, volunteering their time to assist Yvonne in the fudge making process. Our fudge is made with laughter, happiness and fun!

Ken and Lane our salespeople, and you will often find them at the West Asheville Tailgate Market and the Weaverville Tailgate market every other Wednesday afternoonand the Black Mountain Tailgate Market on Saturday mornings.
